4.4.09

I love my job, except for the part where I deal with sick children every day.

When most people get sick, they feel it coming on, it gets worse, it peaks, it gets better, it goes away.

When I get sick, I feel it coming on, it gets worse, it peaks, it starts to get better, it tricks me into thinking I'm almost better, and then it starts to come back. Over and over and over.

This is how it works with me. I'm sure it's from working with children. Runny noses, uncovered coughs, stray sneeze molecules floating through the halls. I can't catch a break. Last year I even considered quitting my job just so I could get healthy again.

This season's progression: cold, flu, strep. It's time to tap into our stash of Amoxicillian.

Trisha, will the girls ever get their play date??? I'll keep you posted, but for now I'd say Tuesday will be more likely than Monday. And if there is any smidgen of crapiness left in me, we'll try again the next week!

OH NO!! Why don't we just try again next week? This way, you'll be able to finally relax on your 2 days off without being sick. The last thing you need is to worry about traveling with Lilly this far. I cna even meet you somewhere.

It's totally up to you but I know how it feels to be under the weather and then try to play catch up.

Goodness, that's awful! I worked for a mothers day out for a few years, and I know how those innocent little germs (ha, right) latch on when you're already fighting other ones. You might look into taking some probiotics/acidophilus (available at health food stores, get the refrigerated capsules for best absorption) after your round of antibiotics. I've staved off many a sinus infection, flu bug, and other miscellaneous viral and bacterial infections by taking mine. Keeps thrush away in little ones, as well as keep the good bacteria in their tummies. I give my 2 month old a powdered kind just for babies-5 year olds. I won't go into detail about the greatness of it all, but if you ever have a free minute, it's worth researching and definitely helps when you have to take so many antibiotics. :)
